We all have that one period in time where our hair goes through a really weird stage! Most of the time it’s because of heat damaged and/or dry hair. But don’t be sad if this is happening to you, I’m here to save you! Here are a few tips to revitalize your hair and protect it from future damage.
Change your Shampoo and Conditioner.
I would encourage you to change your hair regimen each season. Seasons change, your diet changes, you get older, and even medical treatments play a part. Just as your body needs different nutrients at different times, so does your hair. You want to be sure to give your hair exactly what it needs at all times. Switch it up!
Give Your Hair a Nice Trim.
I totally understand that you are trying to grow your hair out, but what’s the beauty of growing out damaged hair? Ladies (and guys) you must trim your hair every six to eight weeks! This will eliminate the chance of having split shafts which eventually leads to breakage.
Find Different Styling Methods Other Than Heat.
Of course you can use a heat protectant of some sort but try to find new ways to style your hair sans heat. There are many ways to use little to no heat to get the look you desire. Try rollers or air drying!
Stop Killing Your Hair.
We know what the issue is, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this article! Stop over processing, coloring, and/or applying excessive amounts of heat to your hair! Sometimes it’s great to allow your hair to breathe in its natural state.
