Now-a-days everyone is going vintage. People are shopping more at thrift stores and in their grandparents closet. Even the top designers and artists are referencing the timeless vintage look. Here at The Know It Alls we are loving the vintage trend too! This Valentines Day, travel back in time with an iconic look from your favorite period!

1940’s Roll
The roll is a very easy look to achieve. All you need are bobby pins, a brush and creativity. It’s the perfect style for the 5 star date your valentine is planning for you or a fancy dinner with your girls. It literally only takes 10 minutes. Check out this look Scarlett Johansson rocked in 2012.

1950’s Ponytail
I personally love the 50’s looks! They were very simplistic and minimal. One of the most popular looks was the ponytail. If you are going for a youthful, simple and elegant look, this should be your choice. Reese Witherspoon nailed it!

1960’s Big Hair
If you are looking to turn heads, the 60’s is where you want to be. This timeless period in hair is always going to be relevant for all the years to come. It was about big, messy, and sexy hair! If this is more your style, tear out a few pages of our girl Ciara’s L’Officiel Singapore spread. It was pure genius!

1970’s Fro Love
For all my natural queens out there, this is the era where it all began! The 70’s was about power and natural hair. It was the DISCO season! The afro has made its way back into the masses of the people. My favorite however will always be Foxy herself, Ms. Pam Grier!

1980’s Texture
Last but not least, we have the 1980’s looks. Texture was key! Most people are not here for the looks of the 80’s but I personally found a few gems during this time period. This was the time that artists were really taking over. People were literally throwing all types of things in their hair from color to random objects. Contrary to belief, you can look 80’s sexy for Valentines Day! Check out Mariah Carey’s iconic locks. Grab your wand ladies and get this sexy textured look now!
