It’s the official countdown to the New Year and with that comes the parties, the parties that have us racking our brains, trying to figure out how to re-vamp that sequin jumpsuit from 5 years ago into 3 completely different outfits. Because wallets seem to run dry when “gifts” that were originally for our dearest BFFs magically end up under the tree labeled “To: Me, From: Me.” That’s why we enlisted style blogger Chrissy Riley of @chrissyjoystyle, the queen of sparkle and shine herself to help us style some looks that don’t involve any cash money spent. Maybe just a little more digging around in that deep dark black hole/closet of ours. We’re pretty sure there’s some gems that’ve been dying to see the light of day or in this case, a little sparkle at night!
The Office Party
“Have a jumpsuit in your closet that you’ve worn a million times? Remix your look by adding a cool vintage beaded top and a leather jacket, draped over your shoulders for a outfit that’s guaranteed to have that cute co-worker eyeballing you at the company Christmas party!” -Chrissy Riley
The Holiday Party with the Fam
“Don’t put that button-down top and blazer from work too far back in the closet during Christmas break. They can definitely be paired with your festive pants and party top for Christmas Day dinner! Who knew work-wear could keep the Jingle Bells rocking?!” -Chrissy Riley
The New Year’s Eve Party
“I’m a huge advocate for recycling old occasion dresses. This dress in particular was worn for my college graduation! Just add a complimenting sequin jacket, and you’re New Year’s ready!” -Chrissy Riley
